October 6, 2017, an important day to begin with.
MCPHS prides itself on professionalism. It is one of the main reasons I chose to attend this program. One of the key components of being a MCPHS student is the possession of the white coat. The white coat ceremony represents the beginning of a professional journey into the healthcare field. This is an important place to begin the road to becoming Dr. Kareemo because it was when I first realized that I would no longer have any free time. My time would now be dedicated to accomplishing this goal of earning my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). This is where the inspiration for my Blog title came from. I realized I would have limited time to do what I enjoy because of the rigor of my program. I set out to prioritize what was important to me and to share that with you all!
I look back now and realize how many valuable opportunities I was able to take advantage of. It all began with the presentation of my white coat. I entered this day as an individual, and ended the day with a class of 39 others behind me, ready to embark on this three-year journey.
